We moved from the midwest 6wks ago. We left our 25+ year-old home in pristine condition. We thought since we were moving into a home that was 5 years newer, that this home too, would be in pristine condition. Unfortunately it was not. A family member recommended Hawkins to us and it's been the best word-of-mouth that I've encountered. Our (new to us) home was in bad shape. We needed extensive electrical and plumbing done in order to bring the house into current code. We have had several of the Hawkins teams working in our house and we couldn't be more satisfied with the results.I do not remember the names of the HVAC team who saw us first, but they were outstanding. They inspected our AC unit and serviced it, letting us know what to expect in the coming months with each unit.Plumbing was the same and the teams that took care of us were excellent as well. I've never had hard water in my home and I noticed my cookware and new bathroom fixtures becoming discolored. Come to find out, we did need a water softener. Hawkins has a team that does that too.A very special KUDOS to Alex and his team as they performed extensive electrical repairs to bring us up to code and did a phenomenal job of it.KUDOS to Aiden, Austin & Justin for plumbing and water softener installation. This team was outstanding and patiently answered all of our questions regarding the water softener and showed us how to care for the new equipment. The HVAC team shared with us the advantage of becoming a Hawkins Member for an annual fee. We are so glad we did this as all of our repairs carried a discount and Hawkins supports military veterans with an additional discount. My husband and I are both former USN and we were delighted to receive the additional discount. Our pool needs work next year and believe it or not, Hawkins services pools as well. So you can bet it'll be Hawkins next year for those repairs. If anyone has ever had a bad experience with Hawkins, just give them a call and they will address it promptly.KUDOS to the duct/dryer vent team. We discovered that the vent for the dryer had not been cleaned in many years as was a serious fire risk. I cannot remember this team member's name, but he crawled up on the roof and took pictures of our vent. It made me nauseous when I saw how packed the lint from the dryer was. Just to share with everyone how great Hawkins is; we purchased a new washer and dryer to be delivered next day. I called Hawkins and told them of our dilemma and asked if there was any way they could send someone out later same day or next day in the morning. The dispatcher worked very hard to find a team that could squeeze us in and Hawkins showed up 2 hrs before our new washer and dryer were delivered. This allowed us to hook up our new set to very clean vent.We seriously cannot say enough positive things about this company.I am also going to comment on communication. Hawkins has this one down pat. I knew for every project we had done, who was coming to my home, when they were coming, and what they'd be doing.Estimates are solid and once you sign it, that's your final cost, unless Hawkins discovers something that doesn't need to be done and they'll adjust the estimate in your favor. If you ask for more to done (like we did with electrical) the estimate changed. The point I'd like to make is that if you accept the estimate and don't request changes, that is what the final cost will be. There are no hidden fees, or an unexpected increase to the estimate.@Hawkins: Please look at our account and acknowledge the HVAC team and the duct/vent team that did the work on our home. I didn't mention them specifically as I cannot remember their names; however, I'd liked for you to let them know how much my husband Pete and I appreciated their efforts and that we are very satisfied with their work. ROCK ON Hawkins!Sincerely,Pete & Cari O'Connor
